Look what we found in a packet hidden away in the factory!
We made these over 14 years ago...sold some in South Africa...and then forgot all about them!
At first glance they may not seem too exciting - just regular buttons with a few more holes than normal...
but they provide a wealth of possibilities...
We use them to write our own personalised messages:
send hearts and kisses...xxx
glue them onto bedroom doors, sew them onto overnight bags, personalise clothes and quilts with names and dates:
As with all our buttons - they are handmade...
and fully washable...
Add any message you want to anything you can dream of:
But most importantly, have...
We used to make these square, round, in heart shapes, different sizes and painted but we have decided to keep it simple and add only the plain square to our catalogue...and let the variety come with the message you create!
We are so excited to have unearthed these old buttons that we are going to offer 10 sets in our latest giveaway - starting right now!
10 followers, anywhere in the world, including previous winners...open for one week from now.
Simply leave a comment letting us know how you would use them.
Blaize (my brother) wants to call these our golf set because of the 9 holes!
How cute! I think they look like little cookies! They would be perfect for a POP of something unexpected on a dress or little boys shirt!!
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are endless! They even look good enough to eat. How about using them to date and label a quilt?
ReplyDeleteThey would look so cute as an embellishment on a wall hanging or art quilt. The little square ones look like gingerbread house sides. Wouldn't that be cute as a gingerbread house on a wall hanging for Christmas?
ReplyDeleteI agree-- they make me think of gingerbread cookies! Yum!! :-) I think they would be adorable on the yoke of a little girls dress... Thank you for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOh wow these are SO amazing. What a great idea!! I can see using them for children's clothes, or adding words to a quilted wall hanging. Thanks so much for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to use these buttons for writing my name and the name of my boyfiend, with an heart in the middle!
Thank you for the chance to win this set!

I love these! My first thought is to sew them on felted bags with all kinds of embroidery thread. But then I thought they'd be perfect for jewelry components - clasps, connectors, earring dangles, with wire and beads... endless possibilities! Thanks for the opportunity!

ReplyDeleteWow! How could you have forgotten about these buttons???
ReplyDeleteThey would look fabulous on a runner or even on a bag!!
I think they'd be great with a name spelled out on a little pouch or purse
ReplyDeleteI would use them for something I sew for a little one like a dress or a jacket. Cool buttons, I've never seen anything like it!
ReplyDeleteLike others have said, these remind me of little cookies or graham crackers! I see them as decorative additions - or possibly single-button closures with corresponding loops - for project bags. (I've always got several knit projects going at once.) I think I'd try sewing the buttons on with multiple colors of thread, for a woven look :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Very imaginative. Please put my name in the hat for the giveaway. I would use them on totes and purses, they need to be used where they can be seen. Bernie
ReplyDeleteSono troppo belli! Complimenti per la fantasia, sembrano biscottini!

Ci sono anch'io!!
I would use them on the crocheted hats I make, or perhaps on my cowls.

Bellissimi.
Perche' io sarei disposta a comprarli.
Quanto sono carini! Fra qualche mese mi nasceranno due gemelline e vorrei decorare le loro cullette.

Very cut.
