This weekend was quite an eventful one for us. As well as celebrating my wonderful dad, we welcomed a new member into our family.
He was so good on the long car ride home and despite being a little shy to start, has settled in so well.
He was unsure of this yellow ball at first but managed to show it who is boss!
We are thinking up names for him...I think 'Buttons' has to be in there somewhere even if its just his middle name!
What name would you give him?
If we choose the name you suggest on our blog, we'll send you a set of our dog buttons as a thanks!
Oh how cute!!!! I adore Labradors. I really want to have one as soon as I can! "Buttons" seems to be the perfect name for him!
ReplyDeletePersonally I have given all my animals a "Disney" name, because I love Disney movies. I watch how they seem or how they move or behave and then I choose the name. My cocker name is "Dumba", for the ears...it's femenine because when we discovered he was a SHE, our doggy has learned to answer at "Dumbo", so we cannot change it! Our vet laughed a lot that day!
So, if he likes a lot eating, I will call him Rolly (101 Dalmatians).
His brown ears make me think at a "brown" name:
Browny
Hazel
Caramel
....something like this.
Have a lot of fun with your new friend!!!
PONGO, like my brother's dog (and like the one of 101 dalmatians)
ReplyDeleteor JACK, like jack sparrow (I love jhonny deep)
or HONEY, and why don't you call him only DOG?
hi, marta
Such a lovely dog. Snowbutton goes through my mind.
ReplyDeleteHave fun wih your new member!
Martina
I love the name Buttons. I think it's a cute name. And so is he!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe chien ! je l'appellerai : MAD !
ReplyDeleteButton is a nice name or how about Bouton in French. Linda
ReplyDeleteI would say Benjamin Buttons - then you could call him Benji or BB for short!
ReplyDeleteAwww he is so photogenic - and tugging on that showlace -sooooo cute!! He looks like a Stanley to me. He is adorable - lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteking lionheart of buttonmad the first :)
ReplyDeletehe is sooooo cute!!!
How about Riley or Rowdy.
ReplyDeleteI would name him "Buttons"...he is so cute.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous new family member...so, I was thinking your baby is probably, like most dogs, a wanderer. So I was thinking perhaps Drifter Buttons.
ReplyDeleteThe picture where he is untying the shoestring is precious. I think Vanilla, because of his color. You could call him Nilla for short.
ReplyDeleteHe looks adorable! I can imagine you being so happy with this new part of your family.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I will not try to guess it's name. I am a lucky girl because I already won some wonderful fun buttons. Also: I am not into dogs. I am a crazy cat lady, but one who is a bit jealous of you, because at the moment we are without pets. I am still waiting for one falling from the sky ;-)
Ciao, Fleur (Fleurtje-Eliza on Ravelry)
He is adorable!! I like the name Bentley..........a name to grow into.
ReplyDeleteAdorable puppy. I would name him Newman or Sly. He looks like both :)
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is so handsome. A real star. I love the pic of him undoing the shoelaces. Ben is a great doggy name..(apologies to all gents called Ben)
ReplyDeleteOh, he sure is cute. Love the photo of him with the shoe string in his mouth.
ReplyDeleteWell, he is a smart gorgeus guy, and a strong personality, I think, so Brando could be an appropiated name. Congrats for a new family member.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious addition to your family! I'd name him Bouton-French for button, and nickname him Boot!
ReplyDeleteBecause he was such a good guy on the long ride home how about the name Rider? He is a hansome one! From Melanie
ReplyDeleteHe is gorgeous, he looks a "Billy" to me...."Billy Button"
ReplyDeletemay I suggest some else names?(I have written another comment). SNOW, WHITE, LUCKY, KIRA, MANDY, BILLY, (these are all the names of the dogs I know)
ReplyDeleteor, for a dog, I think that it is beautiful: SHADOW, GHOST, BOBBY, MOON
I have no more immagination. bye, marta
